Trick Or Treat Halloween Mini Album

Hi, I just finshed the Halloween mini album last night, and my daughter Milly was very happy with it.

I loved playing with all the new creations which Ange had made.

Every year at Halloween Milly gets dressed up and goes around the back garden looking for treats, abit like a Easter egg hunt, it's a bit of fun and Milly loves to get dressed up and then I get to scrap the photos which is my treat!

Siiiiiiiiiigh!!!!!.... So Love the New Releases :) :) :)

Hello Hello

Guess who has been a lucky duck and has been scrapping with Ange's new releases?...Meeeee!

They are just Brilliant!!!!! So Let me Share :) :)

First up is the new Blossom Circle [CH277] Which I have embossed and finished of with a fine spray of Glimmer Mist.

 

I've also used the Retro lowercase Alphas [AZ06] that have just been inked.
 

Oooh isn't this Witch Faabulous!!!! [CH286]. Ive used gradual shading with 3 different Glimmermists on Witchypoo here! :)

 

I've also used Antique lowercase Alphas [AZ08] and Retro lowercase Alphas [AZ06] for the title here.

 

OMGoodness isnt this Chandelier Deeeevine!!! [CH279] Again some Glimmermist shading here.

 

My title for this uses Impact lowercase Alphas [AZ03] which have been coloured with the most beautiful Pink/Red Lustre Shake and Spray.

Happy Halloween!

Think Pink!

This month saw the release of Scrapware's Think Pink shape sheet.  This product was designed especially for the Girls Night In fundraiser that runs through October. Ange has very generously offered to donate 20% from wholesale sales of this product straight to the Cancer Council in support of the Girls Night In.  The shape sheet measures 5"x7" and is incredibly easy to use.

Here, I've used the shape sheet contents to document our local Girls Night In fundraising crop in 2007.  Although I'm yet to print this year's photos, our local crop night held on 17 October raised over $1,000 towards research into women's cancers!  A fantastic effort and well worth scrapping.

I have used glimmermist and pink ink to coat each of the pieces and added glitter to one of the female characters.

I just love that row of female characters holding hands and supporting each other!  Friends supporting friends.   The Girls Night In is a fantastic fundraiser...have you held an event this year?  Leave a comment here and let us know what you did to celebrate.

Scrapware versatility :) :) :) ........

Well by now Im sure you guys know how fabulous Scrapware Chipboard is to use on your LO's and OTP projects, but.......... have you ever considered using it on wearable art projects?????

I was prompted too in a recent challenge, and Ied love to share it with you.

 

I am a huuuge fan of the bird on a branch CH193 chippie, this is the mini I have used here. Ive both inked and embossed it to give it a rustic and metallic look.

So Have I got you thinking??? I hope so :)

Lillian loves doilies

Hi, This month I made a Lillian torso design by Linda for my daughter's room. I also went Op shopping to find some old doilies to make her dress with. I  sprayed the doilies with Glimmer mists, double them over then glued them to the torso, which I had already painted with crackle paint and covered with paper, I then added some pearls, kindy glitz and some tiny flowers. I was really happy with how she turned out and Milly loves her.

Still with the Op shop items I brought, I did this LO using doilies as tree tops which worked really well with the stick trees, which I covered with paper and added some mini birds.

I used CH173 Stick Trees curvy,

Mini-K Miniatures-Birds,

AZ03 Impact lowercase Alphas.

 

And as my last LO, which I just finished tonight I used some old knitting needles, which I paid 50 cent for, I just love the colour of them. I handmade the flower, but my favourite part is the mini torso also design my Linda, I just love them, you get 4 in a pack, this is my last one and I think I need some more, lol.

Scrapware Loves Cards ;-)

I decided to do something a little different for my post this month and I tried cards instead :)

Love how versatile scrapware chipboard, it adds just the perfect touch to any project as you can see from my cards it is just the right addition to give that little extra "oomph"

For (U)

Here I've used Antique Lowercase Alphas for the (U) which I've painted in crackle paint just for a little more texture and interest. Also I've attached a key to the flower by using a brad.

 
  
  
  Happy Birthday

On this card I've used a 'Happy Birthday' saying that has been covered in flocking, lovely soft touch to tone down the harness of the black, there is also a mini Crown hiding on there too

 

 

finally just a couple of quick gift tags using a Mini butterfly and a Mini flower (from the Fly Tweet Birdie)

Wall Art!

Fingers crossed, soon, I'll have my all new scrap room! Well, the start of it anyway, lol. For my birthday this year (in July) hubby said I could get some desks/cupboards/drawers etc made up for my room...I don't think he quite realized what he'd promised! Lets just say it's gonna be a work in progress...!

One thing I decided on is that I'd love to make my own scrappy wall art for my new room, so this month I thought I'd get a start on it...

 

This Lucy Torso by Linda is absolutely gorgeous, I've covered the base with patterned paper, then painted & inked the flourished overlay. I've also used one of Lou's new doves, (just beautiful I think!), some swirls, a scallop border, and a mini ornate frame. Oh, and these Antique letters have got to be a fav of mine, these ones have been painted and inked, and here's a layout I did earlier in the month just inking them up...

 

Oh, and do you see the little bird in the top left corner?? Funky eh!?

And finally, another layout from earlier this month using the US frame...

The frame here has also just been inked - I love the way the chippie really grabs the colors, while painting of course has it's place, inking is so much quicker & doesn't need time to dry.

Ok, thats me done! Im off to a retreat this weekend so I'm sure I'll have plenty more to share next week :)
